So, you're familiar with CBD, but what's a terpene? Should you consider CBG or CBN as a sleep aid? Is the "entourage effect" something to do with the guys from HBO?

Groovy Hemp Company is glad you asked. The online hemp retailer is ready to give you the lowdown on all these questions and inspire you to try a few new hemp-based health and beauty products.

All of Groovy Hemp Company's products are non-GMO and organic. Launched in fall 2019, the company quickly stood apart from an increasingly crowded marketplace for its high-quality and meticulously curated product line. It doubles as a resource for consumers trying to keep up with the fast-evolving CBD industry.

And while the company is relatively new, already Groovy Hemp presents cannabinoid-related information to help educate customers, no matter how knowledgeable they may be. That's where the Groovy Hemp Blog comes in handy, along with the site's new, proprietary podcast.

There's even a handy glossary of hemp- and CBD-related words to help break down a few dozen terms from "anandamide" to "THC-A," and why they're important. Skeptics take note: None of the definitions link to sales pages, instead creating an objective and informative resource.

"We want site visitors to be able to make educated buying decisions, so we present relevant information in an organized, easy-to-access and easy-to-read manner," says founder Robb Auspitz.

Auspitz started the Pennsylvania-based Groovy Hemp Company last year, in part, in response to his own needs. With varied professional experience in biology, clinical chemistry, IT, web design and communications, he wanted to blend his skills with a new venture.

Auspitz also wanted to "find better ways to cope with the stress of life," and sought safe supplements to heal and better enjoy day-to-day living. Auspitz says, "Just like everyone else, there are times when I could use some relief, and that's where CBD comes in handy."

In building the brand, Auspitz has prioritized accurate and current cannabis-related information to serve CBD consumers, whether prospective or experienced. Applying his design background to, he's created a comprehensive online store that unpacks buzzwords and memes to, instead, share customer-friendly facts and science.

Auspitz also committed to only selling organic, hemp-derived products, including topicals, tinctures, capsules, balms and pet supplements. An array of oils are also available as concentrates, vape oils, water-soluble, and isolates, too, and are sourced from manufacturers vetted for their measurable quality.

"All products are supplied by ethical, socially responsible vendors who have the same values we have," says Auspitz, noting that CBD topicals and full-spectrum tinctures are among Groovy Hemp's top sellers. (The Groovy glossary explains that full-spectrum CBD "also contains trace amounts of other cannabinoids, including less than 0.3% THC and various terpenes... organic compounds work synergistically, providing a fuller therapeutic effect than just CBD isolate alone.")

On a personal level, Auspitz says his staple is the THC-free (i.e. "broad-spectrum) CBD oil Relax, from Made by Hemp. A visit to every Groovy Hemp product page includes a comprehensive list of ingredients, independent lab results, and customer reviews.

Even though Groovy Hemp is still a relatively new company, its founder sees steady customer growth and the array of reputable CBD products hitting the market. Auspitz also foresees other cannabinoid products, including CBG and CBN growing in popularity (both can relieve inflammation, among other potential benefits).

And thanks to more regulation by the FDA and state agencies, even more high-quality hemp-based products will likely roll out in the coming months or years as standardizations and improved quality control positively impact the industry.

"We know that there are many CBD products, but without quality control, it can be a guessing game," says Auspitz. "Groovy Hemp is committed to transparency for all of our products, so you can rely on the products and brands we sell."
