TMZ is reporting that a "small militia" from the FBI raided controversial YouTuber Jake Paul's home in the Los Angeles neighborhood of Calabasas.

Sources told the outlet that Paul's home is being searched by authorities and that a search warrant to do so was recently issued. TMZ writes it is unclear what the FBI is looking for, adding that "a small militia left his pad in armored trucks" when the search was over. That includes federal agents in tactical gear.

"By our count, there seems to have been at least 20 people or so on the ground executing the search warrant -- which makes ya wonder what the hell Jake might be mixed up in, if anything at all," TMZ writes.

ABC7 reports that several firearms were found on the YouTube star's property.

"The affidavit in support of the search warrant is sealed and we are, therefore, prohibited from commenting as to the nature of the investigation," the FBI said in a statement to the network, adding that it wasn't planning on making any arrests.

Paul has not commented on the situation.

The raid comes not long after Paul found himself in the headlines for throwing a massive house party at his mansion despite COVID restrictions. In a recent interview, he said he wasn't sure if he'd stop partying despite the pandemic, drawing the ire of Calabasas Mayor Alicia Weintraub.
